If you haven’t yet decided which streaming box to buy Amazon has just made that choice a little more difficult for you with the news that the Fire Stick is now available for pre-order in the UK with a shipping date of April 15th. As if the choice wasn’t difficult enough with the Nexus Player having recently been made available to pre-order in the UK.
The Fire Stick is priced at £35 although if you are an Amazon Prime subscriber you can get this discounted down to just £19. Amazingly, it’s technically possible to bring this price down to £7 if you are new to Prime and are willing to spend an extra £79 to subscribe to the service. Both discounts are only available until March 26th, 2015. The Fire Stick does come with a 1-month trial of Amazon Prime if purchased at £35.

If you aren’t sure what the Amazon Fire Stick is all about, it connects to your TV’s HDMI port and allows you to view Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, YouTube, stream music as well as play games via the included remote. It’s a portable little stick that can also be controlled by your Android smartphone. If you are already an Amazon Prime customer, £19.99 is a pretty good price for what it can do.
