Huawei has released a number of solid devices last year, Honor 6 Plus and Honor 4X were definitely on that list. These two handsets have been announced at the end of last year in China, and are currently available for purchase via various retailers. Huawei Honor 6 Plus is technically a mid-range device, but looking at its specs, you can even say it’s a high-end offering. Despite really solid build and great specs, this device was really affordable when it first launched in China (starting at $322). The Honor 4X, on the other hand, is a true mid-ranger with an affordable price tag. That being said, the company has launched both of these smartphones in India today, as it was announced a week ago.
This China-based company has held an event in India, and showcased these two handsets. First and foremost, let’s check out their specifications, shall we. The Honor 6 Plus features a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) LTPS display along with 3GB of RAM and 16 or 32GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card up to 128GB). This handset is powered by Huawei’s HiSilicon Kirin 925 octa-core processor which ships with Mali T628-MP4 GPU. On the back of this device, you’ll find two 8-megapixel cameras (f/2.0 aperture) which are flanked by a dual LED flash. One 8-megapixel camera (f/2.4 aperture, Sony’s BSI sensor) is available up front for your selfie and video call needs. 3,600mAh battery is also a part of the package here, and Android 4.4 KitKat comes pre-installed on this handset with Huawei’s Emotion UI 3.0 on top of it. IR sensor is also available here, and this handset offers 4G LTE connectivity (Cat. 6). The Huawei Honor 6 Plus measures 150.46 x 75.68 x 7.5mm and weighs 165 grams.
The Huawei Honor 4X comes sporting a 5.5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) IPS display, 2GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable internal storage. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz is powering on this handset along with an Adreno 306 GPU. Android 4.4 KitKat comes pre-installed here with Huawei’s Emotion UI 3.0 on top of Google’s OS. 13-megapixel camera (f/2.0 aperture, BSI sensor) can be found on the back of the Honor 4X, and is flanked by an LED flash. 5-megapixel snapper is available up front, and this handset ships with a 3,000mAh battery. 4G LTE connectivity is also available here, and we’re also talking about a dual-SIM (micro SIM) handset here. The Honor 4X measures 152.9 x 77.2 x 8.65mm and weighs 165 grams.
The Huawei Honor 6 Plus comes in White, Black and Gold color options, and will cost Rs. 26,499 once it launches. This device will be available exclusively from Flipkart in April. The Honor 4X will also be available exclusively from Flipkart, the first flash sale for this device will be held on March 30th. This handset will be available in Black and White color options, and will cost 10,499. Both of these devices will ship with a number of goodies provided by Flipkart.
