Lenovo Announces The K3 Note Handset, Complete With A 5.5″ 1080p Display And 2GB Of RAM

Lenovo had lots to say at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona earlier this month. This Chinese smartphone manufacturer has released a number of devices at the show, including the Lenovo Vibe Shot which took the spotlight. This handset features a tri-LED flash on the back, first that we’ve seen, and a 16-megapixel OIS camera on the back which takes really solid pictures according to the company. Lenovo is also expected to announce the Vibe Z3 Pro in the coming weeks. While we wait for that announcement, the company has decided to announce something else.

This China-based company has announced the K3 Note handset today, a device which has leaked yesterday actually. This handset features a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) IPS display along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. MediaTek’s MT6752 octa-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz is powering on this device and a 3,000mAh battery ships with the device as well, and you can remove it if you’d like. 13-megapixel snapper is located on the back of this handset, and a 5-megapixel camera is available up front for you selfie and video call needs. Android 5.0 Lollipop comes pre-installed on the Lenovo K3 Note with the company’s proprietary Vibe UI 2.5 on top of Google’s operating system. This handset also comes with dual SIM, dual standby connectivity, in case you need to use more than 1 SIM card that is. Waves Audio is also a part of the picture here, which should improve the sound quality on the device.

Lenovo has announced this device for the Chinese market, and it supports 4G LTE connectivity for China Mobile and China Unicom networks at the moment. According to Lenovo’s website, this handset will be available in Yellow and White color options, both of which you can check out in the gallery down below. The Lenovo K3 Note will be available starting April 1st, and you’ll have to splash out 899 Yuan ($145) if you want to pick one up. The company did not mention anything about international availability regarding this device, though they’ll most probably launch it outside of China.
