Samsung Uses a Fleet of Boeing 747 Aircraft to Make Delivery of New Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge

Galaxy S6 on 747 3

It would appear that, as predicted by many, the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge will be a hot ticket when they are released on April 10, 2015. In fact, they are apparently so hot, that Samsung has hired a fleet of Boeing 747’s to ship out their new flagship devices to ensure that there is enough stock to meet demand. While Samsung has been tight-lipped about just how many devices they have sold, it would appear that it is considerable, at least considerable enough to have to hire it’s own planes to carry their product to United States. We can also assume that this massive demonstration of logistics will occur for other countries that will be rolling out the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge on the 10th as well. All told, estimates place pre-order sales at around 20 million devices, which includes both models combined. That is a lot in just pre-orders when you consider that LG has said they expect to sell 10 million of their up and coming LG G4 flagship device. Sammy is definitely doing well for itself if the 20 million device estimate holds true.

Both devices have received rave reviews since their official announcement at Mobile World Congress in beautiful Barcelona. The devices are a world apart from their plastic, cheap-feeling predecessor the Samsung Galaxy S5. The S5 received a moderate reception from consumers and Samsung is hedging its bets with these two new, metal and glass designed devices. They have lost sales in many markets to the likes of Apple, Xiaomi, Huawei, LG and others. These two devices hope to bring back sales to Samsung, as well as help the company return to its number one spot.

For those of you who are waiting to receive your new phone, they are on the way. In fact, some lucky T-Mobile customers have seen their devices shipped and some have reported receiving the device already.
