HERE Maps has been in development for quite some time and, recently, the only way to install the app was to download it directly from the developer’s site. Now, the maps app from Nokia (or whatever is left of Nokia) has arrived in the Play Store for all devices. A huge advantage for HERE Maps is that its turn-by-turn drive and walk voice guidance is operable even without an internet connection. So the app will continue to work when you are in the middle of nowhere and an internet connection is basically nonexistent. HERE Maps also has a web component for planning trips and syncing it to mobile devices. Trip Advisor, Lonely Planet, and more are integrated into HERE Maps as well.
