This is something we don’t really think about that often. Using an app to clean the cache on our phones. Since you can go into Settings > Storage and click on Cache and it’ll clear the cache on your phone or tablet, many of us don’t use cache cleaning apps like Clean Master. But it’s better to use one, as it’ll show you which apps are using the most of your cache. For instance, Tumblr, and Vine are big culprits there. So which apps are the best for cleaning the cache? Let’s have a look at this year’s winner and runner up.
Winner: Clean Master
Clean Master is an app I’ve used for quite a while. It works well and has all kinds of other useful features included as well. For instance, you can also give your phone a boost by clearing out the RAM, as well as uninstall apps you haven’t used in a while and also clear the cache. It breaks down which app is using the most of the cache, and tells you the size. Usually for me it’s Twitter, Tumblr then Instagram. But it’s a nice app and works really well for it’s purpose, the developer also has a few other apps on the Play Store you may want to check out.
Runner Up: CCleaner
Those that are hardcore Windows users may know this app from your PC, but CCleaner recently came to Android and it’s been a crowd favorite ever since. It’s not as feature rich as Clean Master though, but does allow you to clear your cache, your SMS log, as well as your call log. To keep your Android phone running fast and smooth. It’ll also allow you to clear your browser history and free up a little more space.
Honorable Mentions
- DU Speed Booster
- AVG Cleaner and Battery Booster
