Samsung has launched their newest iteration of Note phablet, Galaxy Note 4, as part of company’s IFA event at the beginning of last month. Along with the Note 4, this Korean giant showcased a rather odd Galaxy Note Edge handset, Gear S smartwatch which accepts SIM cards and Gear VR, a virtual reality headset. Galaxy Note 4 is of course the most popular of those listed, considering those are all first-gen products except for this phablet. Samsung finally brought metal material to the design of their device, Galaxy Note 4 included. The device looks immensely better this way in my humble opinion, it is, of course, well-specced (more on that later) and it will be available worldwide.
Talking about its availability, it seems like Samsung will launch the Snapdragon version of its newest phablet in India, SM-N910G with 4G LTE connectivity. SamMobile got ahold of some import data which says that Samsung has imported 1,672 units of the Galaxy Note 4 (SM-N910GZWEINU) to India which has a listed price of INR 61,500 ($1004). This variant of the device (according to GeekBench) comes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 805 quad-core chip and 3GB of RAM. SM-N910G support 4G LTE connectivity on FDD-LTE and TDD-LTE networks. This device is expected to be launched in India, Singapore and Sri Lanka. You might recall that Samsung launched two Galaxy S5 variants in India, one sported Samsung’s Exynos 5422 processor while the other one came with the Snapdragon 801 and 4G LTE connectivity, so this is a given if you ask me. Either way, Samsung is expected to launch the Note 4 in India on October 15.
As for the specs of this handset, Note 4 features a 5.7-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) Super AMOLED display along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage (expandable via MicroSD card up to 128GB). Samsung’s newest phablet comes in two processor versions (market dependent), either with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 805 quad-core chip clocked at 2.7GHz or Samsung’s very own Exynos 5433 octa-core processor (quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A53 and quad-core 1.9 GHz Cortex-A57). On the back of this device, you’ll find a 16-megapixel OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) camera, while there’s a 3.7-megapixel shooter located on the front of this phablet. 3220mAh battery is also included and the device comes with Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS with Samsung’s Revolving UX on top of it.
