More Inbox Invites Have Been Dispersed By Google

inbox AH Well it looks like Google is giving out some more invites to their very popular new Gmail client, Inbox. The client was launched about a week ago and has been invite-only since launch, very similar to how Gmail was when it first launched. And since email plays such an important roll in the life of almost everybody, the demand for invites was pretty darn high. Let’s just say you still can’t scroll through your Google+ feed without every third post pertaining to somebody begging for an Inbox invite.

Fortunately, the Inbox team at Google just tweeted the following, “Invites away! And, on Thursday, Inbox users will get invitations to share with friends. We’ll let you know when.” This is great news for the big group of people who are still dying for an invite to use Inbox. What’s even better is that the tweet by the Inbox team not only mentioned that they would be sending out more invites, but that they would also be granting existing users the ability to invite more people. The first wave of users who received an Inbox invite were able to invite three people, we aren’t sure if Google is going to allow them to invite even more people or give the new Inbox users three invites as well.

If you have not had the opportunity to play with Google’s new Inbox email client then you are really missing out. We have been using Inbox since launch and must say that it is an amazing email client and a great alternative to using Gmail exclusively. It offers some material design aspects and really focuses on keeping your inbox organized and as empty as possible, a very useful email client for anybody who frequently receives a lot of email throughout the day. Inbox also integrates with your Google Calendar and Google Now reminders, making it a productivity app as well as an email client. If this sounds like an email client that you would want to use and you don’t yet have an Invite from Google, you can request one by sending an email to inbox@google.com. This whole invite situation to get access to Google’s all new email client is very reminiscent of how Gmail rolled out back in the day. We are sure that it brings about a bit of nostalgia for some people who were into Google when Gmail first launched, but we digress. We are just glad to see Google still paying attention to email and improving upon the ways we use and organize it in such big ways. Let’s be honest, email needs a little bit of attention.
