Buy A Nexus 6 (If You Can) And Get Six Months Free Google Play All Access

Nexus 6 Hands On AH-12

If you are a Nexus fan then its been an interesting day for you today. The Nexus 6 went on sale this morning and happened to be out of stock immediately. In fact, personally I was not able to even see the moment it went on sale and instead (like for most people) it went from ‘Coming soon’ to ‘Out of Stock’. A few reports have come in since then that people were randomly able to proceed and get the device, but these seem largely rare.

Well, let’s imagine for a few moments that you can actually buy the Nexus 6. To help persuade you to buy the device Google are offering a rather sweet deal. It seems if you buy the Nexus 6 before December 31st you can get six months Google Play All Access for free. Bearing in mind the All Access service is $9.99 per month that’s basically a $60 savings. Most people are complaining the Nexus 6 is far higher priced than they expected and maybe that is true. Either way if you are intending to get All Access then maybe $60 back over the next six months will help. If you are unfamiliar with All Access than this is basically Google’s music streaming service which is actually rather good. You can stream shedloads of songs and even download them onto your device for offline use.

Any terms and conditions? Of course there are. As mentioned you do have to buy the Nexus 6 before December 31st, so basically this year and resister for the All Access service before January 31st 2015. In addition, the offer only seems to be open to US residents and to devices bought in the US. So unfortunately it won’t work if you are holidaying here and pick up the device. You need a registered US address and credit card. Also, it seems the service is not open to those who are already using the All Access subscription. And before you ask no, you cannot unsubscribe and resubscribe as Google state that it is not only not open to those who subscribe but also those who have subscribed anytime in the last twelve months. If you have bought the Nexus 6 then to set up the offer you simply need to open an All Access account but through the Nexus 6. It does stipulate this so make sure to do it through the device and not via a desktop. So anyone have any luck buying the device this morning? Will you be taking advantage of the All Access offer?
