HTC D820us Visits TENAA And Confirms Its Spec Sheet, 5.5″ 720p Display And 2GB Of RAM In Tow

HTC D820us popped up on AnTuTu earlier this month and showed off its specifications, at least part of them. That very same device just visited TENAA (China’s equivalent of the FCC) and showed us its looks and gave us more insight in its internals. AnTuTu benchmarks were spot on, D820us will feature a 5.5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) display along with 2GB of RAM for your multitasking needs and 16 or 32GB of internal storage, depending on the version of course. The device will be powered by MediaTek’s MT6572 octa-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz along with Mali-T760 GPU. Android 4.4.4 KitKat comes pre-installed on this device with HTC’s Sense 6 UI on top of it. On the back of the device, you’ll be able to find a 13-megapixel camera flanked by an LED flash and a 5-megapixel camera will be located on the front of this device. The device will measure 157.7 × 78.74 × 7.74mm and weight 165 grams. This handset will be available in Black, White, Red, Orange, Blue, Pink and Gray colors once HTC launches it.

This handset will launch soon in China considering it was just certified by TENAA. We have no information about its price just yet, but you can take a look at what the device will look like in the gallery down below. HTC is definitely approaching the market differently than they did thus far, this Taiwanese manufacturer is releasing phones that are not exactly typical for them and are trying to saturate the market lately. They managed to turn profit thanks to cutting costs in Q3, just barely though. The company is not moving enough devices at the moment and that’s been their problem for a long time. They really need to start releasing cheaper handset in order to compete with the rest of manufacturers in China. Marketing is yet another issue HTC has been facing for a long time now, the company just doesn’t have the marketing power of Samsung, not even close. Anyhow, this device has solid specifications and I hope HTC will find the proper price for it, that’s the only way they’ll be able to sell enough of these devices in China.
