As Huawei continues its push into the international market, the company has said it will continue to push boundaries with “shocking products.” To bolster this claim Huawei Device Chairman and Consumer BG CEO Yu Chengdong, pulled out a variant of the Ascend P7 sporting a Sapphire Display. For those who don’t know, sapphire displays have made waves in the media for their strength and ability to take a beating.
The company is also looking to expand its E-commerce business in hopes of opening new channels for that avenue. That aside, the company will increase brand awareness but rather than focus on a quick profit and short-term success, the company is looking to be successful in the long term. Huawei hopes to do this by creating premium device.
It looks like the company has an idea of what it wants to achieve here in the future. Of course how well their plans go depends on these premium and “shocking” devices and how well they’re received. As it goes, only time will tell.
