LG took us by surprise when it teased the second G Watch launch in just six months, and now it’s back with a new teaser that all but reveals the G Watch R’s design.
LG published the image above on its Facebook page, as spotted by GSM Arena . Playing with the image levels in an editor partially reveals the device, which has a very conventional looking watch design, complete with a large button on the right side that probably wakes up the device.
It’s hard to tell from this image, but the G Watch R appears to be made of metal, while the strap could be leather or silicone. There seems to be a small bezel around the dial, which is an uninterrupted disc, compared to the Moto 360, which has a cutout section at the bottom. LG is making a big deal out of this “full circle” design, hawking the G Watch R as the “first wearable to fully utilize its circular shape.”
From an older report, we know that the G Watch R will feature an AMOLED screen and Snapdragon processor. Other specifications are still unknown at this point, but at least we don’t have a lot to wait until the official launch next week.
Are you impressed with the G Watch R so far? Do you prefer it to the rectangular G Watch or the Moto 360?
