One of the downsides of living a connected life is having to remember, enter, and manage all the credentials that make possible staying connected. Until a better solution comes along (digital tattoos, anyone?) one of the few viable ways to conveniently manage your passwords is using a service like LastPass.
With LastPass, you can save all your credentials in the cloud and have them entered automatically for every site. Instead of having to juggle dozens, maybe hundreds of username-password pairs, you only need to remember the password for LastPass. The service works on popular desktop browsers including Chrome, Firefox, and IE via extensions, and the mobile app works on websites and, through a recently added feature, on many apps. However, the mobile functionality is limited to the Premium version of LastPass.
LastPass Premium offers unlimited use of mobile features, multifactor authentication options, shared Family Folders, and more. The service normally costs $12 per year.
AppSumo is holding a promo together with LastPass offering one full year of the service for free. All you need to do is go here and “buy” the deal for $0. You need to scroll down the page to see the deal.
I tested it and the promo works as advertised. You can also use it if you’re already a paying customer.
