Moto X has begun their “Back to School” sale already. They are offering the Moto X for just $299, for the 16GB of course through MotoMaker. Now the 32GB will cost you $324.99 and the 64GB is going for $374. We’ve been seeing various sales on the Moto X dating all the way back to the Black Friday sale last November. Which was only about 2 months after the device went on sale. Since then we’ve seen the Moto X under $400 almost all the time. While the Moto X was/is a great device, it’s tough to tell people to buy it at this point when it should be getting replaced very soon by its successor. Which is said to be the Moto X+1 with a Snapdragon 800 processor, 5.2-inch 1080p display and a microSD card slot inside. Of course those are just leaks and not official.
But if you don’t care about having the latest and greatest, the Moto X is still a great device. I still love my Moto X, even though it’s not my daily driver. I’m definitely excited to see what Motorola does with the Moto X+1 when they announce it pretty soon. Rumor has it, that it’ll be announced and released alongside the Moto 360. Which is slated for “End of Summer” which technically isn’t until late September. But we all want both before then, right?
For those that need a refreshed, the Moto X has a 4.7-inch 720p AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor (with Motorola’s X8 Mobile Computing platform), 2GB of RAM, 16GB/32GB/64GB of storage, 10MP camera on the back, 2.1MP front-facing shooter. There’s also a 2200mAh battery inside along with it running on Android 4.4.2 KitKat. The Moto X does run basically stock Android with a few minor tweaks, which we love.
How many of you are waiting on the Moto X+1? Let us know in the comments below.
