Now here’s a pleasant surprise. People who ordered the Gear Live and the G Watch from the Play Store are now receiving shipping notifications, meaning that the smartwatches could be on their wrists by Monday.
Google initially announced a shipping date of July 7 for the G Watch, and July 8 for the Gear Live, but it seems things went better than anticipated, though Independence Day will probably prevent orders from reaching customers this week.
The G Watch, available for $229, was the preferred device in our Android Wear comparison open thread, though many users stated they prefer to wait for the Moto 360 to ship before jumping on the AW bandwagon.
