Would Amazon’s Jeff Bezos Ever Sign an iPhone?

eawfaewf

The picture above, is the iPhone of an Amazon employee who asked their boss – the one and only Jeff Bezos – to sign it. What would Jeff Bezos reaction be? Well just read what it says on the back of that iPhone. Can’t say it’s surprising since Jeff just announced the Fire Phone last week and hoping that it will sell like hot cakes, even though initial reactions weren’t all that great. The Fire Phone is basically a window to Amazon’s ecosystem and store-front. It also has all kinds of 3D features, and the most interesting one is Firefly. It’s basically Google Goggles but on steroids. There’s also MayDay which we saw on the Kindle Fire HDX last year. MayDay is basically 24/7 live tech support on your Kindle Fire HDX or Fire Phone. It’s a really neat idea, and so far it’s been working great for Amazon since they launched the Kindle Fire HDX last fall.

The Fire Phone clearly isn’t for everyone. But that doesn’t make it a terrible device. It does have pretty decent specs, aside from the 720p display, it also has a Snapdragon 800 processor inside and 2GB of RAM. There’s also a 2400mAh battery inside which should give you pretty decent battery life. Just for reference the Nexus 5 has a 5-inch display and a 2300mAh battery inside. The Fire Phone is still forked Android and has no Google Services. So if you use Google Services a ton like I do, the Fire Phone may not be the phone for you. But it’s definitely a good first try. I’ll be excited to see how the new Fire Phone next year turns out for Amazon. But now they have the entire ecosystem. Smartphone, Tablet and set top box. And the only crazily priced one is the Fire Phone at $199 on contract and $649 without.

What does everyone think about Jeff Bezos sense of humor? Pretty good right? Be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments down below as always.
