Verizon Putting the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 on Shelves June 26th

AH Verizon 2.3

On Thursday, Verizon Wireless will begin selling the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0. Now we recently checked out the 10-inch Galaxy Tab 4 and were quite pleased with it, especially given it’s price point. Verizon will be selling the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 for $279 for those that buy it on a two-year contract. Otherwise it’ll retail for about $379.99. Which is a bit much for a tablet, but remember that this is going to be more than the WiFi version due to the slightly larger battery, and the LTE radio inside. Verizon is saying that this tablet can be used for the entire family. Which it actually can due to the fact that it has multi-user. So everyone in the family can have their own account on the tablet. Not to mention it supports Verizon’s XLTE network which has some pretty amazing speeds. I took XLTE for a spin on the LG Lucid 3 a few weeks ago and was quite impressed with the speeds that I saw on the device. I was able to get a max of 75mbps down and about 45mbps upload. Which is more than double what Verizon used to do in my area. Users on Verizon’s More Everything plan can add this tablet to their account for $10/month.

The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 is a pretty decent tablet. Not a high-end tablet, but it’ll give you everything you need. With a 8-inch 1280×720 resolution display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, it’s plenty for most people. And if it isn’t, Verizon has plenty of other tablets on tap as well. Like the LG G Pad 8.3, Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition and plenty of others in their portfolio. So you’re bound to find a tablet perfect for your needs from Big red.

How many of you are going to grab the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 from Verizon on Thursday when it goes on sale? Let us know in the comments down below.
