While Samsung was not the first company to launch an Android smartphone, they are now the largest Android smartphone vendor. Since they launched their first Android device in 2009, Samsung has launched roughly 114 Android devices.
The first Samsung Android smartphone was simply called the Samsung Galaxy, and while it didn’t impress many at the time, it was the start of a long journey for the company. Since then they’ve taken the smartphone world by storm with their Galaxy S series, as well as their popular Android tablets, which the new Samsung Galaxy Tab S is a part of.
