Could the LG F490L Be the First to Run LG’s Odin Processor? Possibly the G Flex 2?

lg-g3-ah-2

We’ve heard for a while that LG was working on their own in-house processor, which is named Odin. Yes the same name as the software we use to root and restore our Samsung devices. We’re hearing today, from @Upleaks that the LG F490L is going to be the first to run this new Odin processor, but what device is the F490L? We don’t exactly know, but what we do know is that the LG G3 is the F400K/L, and the new Snapdragon 805 LG G3 for Korea is the F460L, so it seems as if the LG G Flex 2 could be the F490L. The LG G Flex 2 is supposedly coming this fall from LG, and it’s supposed to be a pretty big upgrade over the LG G Flex from earlier this year. This device is codenamed the LG Liger. And we have no information about Liger really, but keep that name in mind when you see other leaks and rumors from LG in the next few months as I’m sure it’ll pop up again.

Upleaks also stated that the Liger_LGU_KR is the first with the LG Odin chipset, which tells me that this going to be a Korean variant. So it’s likely that LG could be like Samsung and only use the Odin chipset in markets that don’t have LTE while other markets get the Snapdragon 805 or another processor. But then, Korea does have LTE-A on most carriers already, so possibly not. It’ll be interesting to see how well this Odin processor runs. Recent reports on the Odin chipset have said that it’s a octa-core 64-bit processor. But we have little to no information on this chipset right now, so it’s tough to say.

How many of you are interested in the new LG G Flex? Would you buy the LG G Flex 2 if it had a 1080p display? Let us know in the comments down below.
