The Getaway: Traffic Racer 3D
If you remember playing the original Grand Theft Auto titles, like GTA and GTA 2, then The Getaway might strike you with some nostalgia. It’s a top down view like the first two games (although angled and not completely over head) and none of the gameplay is really like grand theft auto as you have no missions to pick up, but you are running from the police, and there’s coins to pick up along the way and some pretty nice cell shaded graphics. This is endless like gameplay so basically just see how far you can go and the highest score you can possibly get before you’re caught.
The 7th Guest: Remastered
The 7th Guest has been remastered (as the title suggests) and ported over to Android for its 20th anniversary. It’s an adventure game with tons of puzzles, some them haunting and otherwise chilling to the bone. Or so the game’s creators would have you believe. You might not get extremely creeped out when playing this, but it should be filled with fun and hours of nostalgic enjoyment if you’ve played the original.
Gunslugs II Free Version
Orange Pixel dropped the second Gunslugs title back in January, but the game would cost you a few bucks if you wanted to give it a shot. Now Orange Pixel is giving those who love action platformers a chance to play the game for free. If you liked the original Gunslugs, give Gunslugs II a go and see how it fares.
Implosion – Never Lose Hope
Implosion is a hack and slash action title about saving the earth from aliens with a giant mech suit. The graphics are fierce, the combat is awesome, and there are no IAP (minus the one time buy to unlock the game) There is plenty of enjoyment though. This was our featured game of the week, so you can check the write up on it here if you like.
Space Marshals
Space Marshals is a top down dual stick shooter with some great action and a playful wild west-scifi theme. Combat is tactical, so you can choose to go stealth at certain points or go in guns blazing. There’s tons of weaponry and other items for your loadout, and this will be an episodic series with more episodes being released in the future.
Masters Of The Masks
This is an interesting little RPG title from Square Enix. The gameplay is sidescrolling and reminds us a little bit of the original Battleheart from Mika Mobile. Combat is turn based, and there appears to be a large cast of characters which should help to keep things interesting.
