OnePlus Power Bank Looks Set To Go On Sale March 17th

Back towards the end of last year, OnePlus made a few announcements. One of those announcements was they were planning on releasing their own branded power bank, to give their users (and any other device owners) some additional power on the go and when needed. The OnePlus power bank is a 10,000mAh offering and was reported to be costing $14.99 when it eventually goes on sale. At the time, the only reference to when it will go on sale was early next year.

Well, it is early in the next year now and it looks like the power bank is about to go on sale. Today OnePlus sent out one of their typical social media teasers (source link below) showing what seems to be the power bank along with a clearly stated March 17th date. If you need any further proof that this is the power bank, then it also comes with the tag “Ready… Charge”. At the moment, it is not clear if this will be a limited time, quantity or invite sale. However, based on previous history, the accessories are normally available to anyone, although are sometimes limited in their quantity. So if you do want to pick up one for $14.99 then you might be wise to be quick out of the gates on the 17th.

In terms of the actual specs, the OnePlus power bank will come with a 10,000mAh LiPo battery. Input is DC 5V/2A while the output consists of two USB sockets, each offering 5V/2A. Charging time is listed as approximately five and a half hours while the device is stated to come with a number of safety features like overheating protection built in. In terms of size the power bank measures 142.8 × 72.6 × 16.2 mm and weighs 220g. Just like the actual OnePlus One, the power bank is expected to be available in the same two colors, Sandstone Black and Silk White. Interestingly, last week OnePlus were reported to be releasing a new product line next month, so you may want to keep your eyes peeled for that in the coming weeks.
