Towards the closeout of last year, much speculation surrounding an upcoming tablet-sized device about to be launched by Huawei’s offshoot company, Honor. This was the Honor 6 Plus (Honor 6+). This was the latest device by the Chinese startup and came with some decent specs. Not to mention typical of what is commonly seen with Chinese OEMs, the price of the handset was significantly lower than what a device by a more Worldwide known company would cost. However, the issue with picking up one of these decent spec/low-cost devices was that you generally had to buy online. The first of the availability started from Honor’s own website, although, by the start of the year, availability for Worldwide sales had moved on to OppoMart and then followed by Amazon.
Well, the latest on this front is that Honor have today announced at MWC that UK residents looking to pick up the Honor 6 Plus will soon be able to directly in store. The announcement confirms that UK carrier, Three will be getting the initial rights to the sell the device in their stores and online. This is thought to be the first of an on-going exclusive partnership between Honor and Three and will be the first time the device has made its way over to Europe at the ground level. Details on pricing and when are a little limited at the moment although it is expected to be available soon.
If you are thinking about picking up the device on a Three contract then you might want to know what you are getting. The Honor 6 Plus comes with a 5.5-inch 1080p display. Inside, the 6 Plus offers 3GB RAM and is powered by Huawei’s Kirin 925 Octa-core processor. In terms of memory, the device comes in either a 16 or 32GB internal storage variant and there is also a MicroSD card slot offering additional storage up to 128GB. Camera-wise, the 6 Plus comes with an 13mp rear shooter couple with a 8MP front facing option. Not to mention, everything is powered by a large 3,600mAh battery. Are you UK based?
