You all know by now that Lenovo has acquired Motorola Mobility from Google a while ago. Considering that Lenovo is a Chinese company, it was to be expected for them to bring Motorola products to China sooner or later. After weeks of teasing, Motorola has announced that they’ll hold a press conference in Beijing’s Convention Center on January 26. Motorola has announced this earlier this month, and it seems like the company has already sent out invitations for that event as well.
As part of the event invitation (check out the images below the article), Motorola has sent out three Moto Logo badges, interesting enough, each one of them sports a different color. This, of course, suggests that Motorola will offer several color choices, which was to be expected. A wooden cover for the Moto X is also a part of the invitation though, which are great news for Chinese consumers, even though we already knew that Motorola will offer those in China. The company has teased wooden covers on multiple occasions, besides, what would a Moto X be without a back cover option, right?
Anyhow, according to a previous report, Motorola intends to announce three products for the Chinese market, the Moto X, Moto G (dual SIM 4G version) and the Moto X Pro handset which is essentially the Nexus 6. Moto X is expected to carry the 3,500 Yuan ($563) price tag, the Moto G will probably cost around 1,500 Yuan ($241) and the Moto X Pro will be the most expensive out of the bunch, 4,000 Yuan ($644) price is expected. Recent reports also suggest that the Moto X will be available in early February, and Moto G and Moto X Pro handsets will quite probably launch in March.
There you have it, if you live in China and you’ve been looking to buy a Motorola handset, you’ll soon be able to do so. So, have you been waiting for these handsets, which one do you intend to buy once they’re available? How many of you (outside of China) currently own one of Motorola’s recent products? Let us know in the comments, we’d love to hear from you, as always.
