Xiaomi has announced a slew of devices this month, and it’s time for Meizu to show what they got. Company’s “Connected” press event in Beijing has started, if you’d like to watch the livestream, follow this link. Keep in mind that this conference is in Chinese though. That being said, the company is expected to announce the Meizu M1 Mini (could be called differently though), a smaller version of the M1 Note phablet. This device will sport significantly different specs compared to the M1 Note, at least according to the latest report. The M1 Mini will also probably sport only Chinese network bands. The device will quite probably sport the same design as the affordable M1 Note smartphone.
That’s not all though, the company will quite probably announce some additional hardware as part of this conference (smart home stuff perhaps?), as well as some partnership agreements. AKG, Opera browser and App Pei partnerships have been teased by the company, so that’s probably something we’ll see announced as well. Anyhow, the conference has already started, if you’d like to follow it, just click the link above and it will take you straight to the livestream. Let’s see what Meizu have up their sleeve today and if the company will be able to surprise us like the usually do. Meizu did great in 2014 and I’m sure they’d like to continue doing the same in 2014. This company is on the rise, but they’re still not that close to the big players in China, if they continue doing what they’ve been doing thus far, that will surely change in the near future, they’ve announced a couple of great devices in 2014 and those handsets are selling really well in China.
What do you think Meizu will announce at this conference? Let us know what you think in the comments below, we’d love to hear from you, as usual.
