Meizu has held a press event in Beijing today, and the company has announced a bunch of new gadgets. Meizu M1 handset definitely stole the spotlight at the event, but the company has also announced a slew of smart gadgets and re-affirmed partnerships with Haier and Alibaba. We’re here to talk about the M1 smartphone though, we’ve already covered the launch of this handset at length, but let’s take a look at its specs in details, shall we.
This device sports a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 768) display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top of it. The Meizu M1 ships with 1GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 8GB of in-built storage which is expandable via microSD card up to 128GB. MediaTek MT6732 quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz powers on this handset and Mali T760 MP2 GPU is here for graphics, and it is clocked at 500MHz. 13-megapixel camera is located on the back of this device with Samsung’s sensor on the inside. This snapper offers 4x digital zoom and is also protected by Gorilla Glass 3. 5-lens arrangement is at hand here and we’re talking about f/2.2 aperture camera here which can take 15 images a second according to Meizu. LED flash is also available at the back of this device, next to the camera. 5-megapixel shooter by OmniVision is located on the front side of the device, OV5670, to be more precise. This snapper offers 69-degree angle view and features f/2.0 aperture.
2,610mAh battery is located inside of this device, and the handset itself measures 140.2 x 72.1 x 8.9mm, while it weighs 128 grams. Meizu M1 will be available in White, Blue, Yellow, Green, Pink-Purple and Turquoise color options. As far as connectivity is concerned, this handset supports GSM, TD-SCDMA and TD-LTE bands, it’s meant for the Chinese market and it probably isn’t a good idea to purchase it for use outside of China, due to this fact. Dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4/5GHz) is also available here, same goes for Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The usual array of sensors are also built into this handset and this handset will come with Android 4.4 KitKat pre-installed with Meizu’s very own Flyme OS on top of it.
