Today is the day. Black Friday is upon us. We have been watching closely over the last two weeks and monitoring the deals as and when they come in. Now though is the time to take advantage and cash-in and try and grab yourself that long awaited bargain. Sprint have this morning unveiled one of their big offerings for Black Friday. Up for grabs is the Samsung Galaxy S5. The other Samsung flagship device of 2014.
If you need a quick bring-me-up-to-speed then the S5 comes with a 5.1” Super AMOLED display. That’s a 1920 x 1080 resolution with a 432 ppi. Inside the S5 offers 2GB RAM and comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor (clocked at 2.5GHz). In terms of memory the device comes in either a 16 or 32GB internal storage variants along with the microSD card slot (upto 128GB). In terms of cameras you get a 16MP rear shooter along with a 2MP front facing camera. Additional features include a 2,800mAh battery, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, NFC and running on Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) out of the box. In terms of what is on offer with Sprint it seems you can get the device today for $0 down. Its always good when you can walk out of the shop paying nothing for a current flagship device. To take advantage of this offer, Sprint are offering the option to lease the phone. This will set you back $20 a month on a two year contract after which you will have paid and own the phone. So nothing down and $20 a month to own one of this years hot phones. That equates to a $200 saving. The S5 is available from Sprint in Charcoal black or Shimmery white and this is listed as a ‘limited time’ deal so don’t wait around. If you are already a Sprint customer then it is worth remembering a couple of days ago, Sprint were offering their customers loyalty rewards. One of these was a $15 discount off the lease price bringing the cost down to only $5 a month. Not bad for being a Sprint customer. If you are not a Sprint customer it might be worth grabbing this deal and then next year maybe you will get offered the ‘loyalty discount’ on something else.
