Sources are reporting that LG is preparing to launch the LG G Flex 2 at CES 2015 in January. The device will be a successor to the LG G Flex smartphone. Although not a commercial success, the LG G Flex was really a device intended to serve as a kind of proof of concept for smartphones with something other than a flat, rigid screen. According to the sources, the LG G Flex 2 will include a new curved screen using a high-resolution plastic OLED and the self-healing back material that was present on the original G Flex.
In addition to building on and extending the curved screen and self-healing materials of the original G Flex, LG supposedly has created a new hard rubber chassis that can bend much more than the current model. Other than these basics about the device, no other information about the internal hardware or specs is available yet.
