What is Quicket?
Quicket is an application that helps you manage your flights when you travel. You can perform a range of functions including buying tickets and there is even a social interaction feature. It’s currently free on the Google Play Store.
Here’s how the app works. You can use it to search, book, and purchase tickets for flights. You can also check on the status of your tickets, the status of your flight, and engage with a number of maps of various airports and airplanes to see where your gate is and where your seats are. There doesn’t seem to be a stone left unturned because you really can do quite a lot with this applications. There is even a social feature that lets you check into flights so others can see who they’re sitting next to and vice versa.
There are a few limitations. For instance, you’ll only be able to look into flights that are three hours from departure or further. That’s more than enough for most people but some may have to use another service if they need a flight even sooner. The social portion of the app is nifty but if you’re not on a flight where people actually use this app then you won’t get to experience much of that. The interactive maps feature is pretty cool and it’s available in offline mode which is a plus.
Pretty much everyone boarding an airplane ever should at least try this.
- Allows you to search for and buy air plane tickets from the app.
- You can see your seat and navigate airports using the maps feature (which is available offline).
- The social features are nice, if unnecessary.
- There is 24/7 customer support in multiple countries.
- The app's design and controls are pretty good.
- Limitations on somethings may be inconvenient. Like you can only search flights that are at least 3 hours away from departure.
- Social media function isn't useful unless you run into other people who use it.
Overall, Quicket is an application that pretty much any frequent flyer should at least try out. It has a lot of features and seems to have taken a lot of scenarios and use cases into consideration and that means only good things. There are a few limitations here and there but it is free to use so there’s no harm in checking it out.
