The Taiwanese computer company Acer has a line of low-cost tablets with 7 inch displays. Within the line of tablets, the company has different models but they are all sold under the same name which is Iconia One. Now if that isn’t confusing I don’t know what is, but the confusing line of tablets have models with Intel Atom Z2560 Clover Trail+ dual-core processors with prices that range from $90 to $140. The hardware and prices aren’t too bad but now it looks like Acer plans on releasing some more Iconia One tablets that feature the faster Intel Atom Z3735G quad-core Bay Trail chips.
So with newer models on the way, you would think that Acer would give them a new name. Guess what? Their not; they will once again be sold under the Iconia One name. The only way each tablet will differ are by their model numbers which start at B1-750. The tablets that contain a Clover Trail+ chip are going to have model numbers starting with B1-730. In addition to those tablets, Acer will also carry the model number B1-720 with a MediaTek ARM-based processor. This particular tablet stands out due to the fact that it will not be part of the Iconia One family. Why they singled that tablet out and decided to give it another name, nobody knows.
Going back over to the first model which is the B1-750, the tablet hasn’t shown up on Acers website just yet. The tablet has made an appearance on French store PC21. Specs for the model are also available on GFXBench and they look fairly nice for a low-budget tablet. The tablet will feature a 7 inch 1280 x 800 pixel IPS display. The RAM is really low with just 1GB and the internal storage is split between the options of 8GB to 16GB. A microSD slot is available so you can up your storage. The tablet as well includes a 5 megapixel rear facing camera and an extremely low 0.3 megapixel front facing camera. For specs thats just about it, a launch date for the tablet is currently unavailable but we do not that the tablet is going to 100 Euros, which over here in the states would be around $130.
