Google Voice Search now supports multiple language selections

multilang-google

In many parts of the globe it has become commonplace to learn more than one language in order to better interact with the world around us. That’s why it is sort of shocking that Google Voice Search previously only supported one language setting at a time, requiring you to manually switch settings each and every time. Thankfully, Google is finally rectifying the issue with a new update.

The latest version of the Google Search can now let you speak up to five languages out of more than 50 supported languages, though it does limit one language per sentence. The new feature can easily turned on through Search> Settings> Voice> Languages.

Even though Google will automatically detect the language you are speaking, Google Search will only reply back to your commands vocally in select supported languages. Still, this is a major step forward and a very welcome change for those that speak more than one language. Keep in mind that you’ll need to be running version 3.6 of the Search app in order for the new multi-language support to work.
