Samsung recently announced the Galaxy S5 LTE-A for South Korea. Which normally isn’t a big deal, except it has a Snapdragon 805 processor and a 2560×1440 resolution Super AMOLED Display. Making it one of the highest resolution displays out there. Along side the LG G3. Although this is a Super AMOLED display, which is Samsung’s own display panel, and they’ve always been touting how good their displays really are. And with the Galaxy Note 3 last fall, they finally made it able to be seen outdoors in sunlight.
The WQHD display on the Galaxy S5 LTE-A is being touted as having whiter whites than the 1080p Super AMOLED display on the Samsung Galaxy S5 which we all have here in the US and most other parts of the world. It obviously is going to give us better detail and finer detail as well. In addition it also doesn’t show more content on the screen than the regular Galaxy S5 does. Which we thought it might due to the amount of pixels there.
Of course, you can check out Samsung Tomorrow’s post about how the Galaxy S5 LTE-A’s display is better than the Galaxy S5. We’re likely to see this display on the Galaxy Note 4 in the fall though, which is rumored to remain at 5.7-inches. We’ll have to wait until September to find out truly how big the display will be, as well as the other features. As Samsung is slated to announce the Galaxy Note 4 at IFA in Berlin as they’ve done with the Galaxy Note, Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy Note 3 the last three years.
How many of you are excited to get this WQHD Super AMOLED display in more devices like the Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy F and maybe the Galaxy S6 – I know rumors say that the Galaxy F is replacing the Galaxy S but we don’t know that as a fact just yet. Let us know in the comments below.
