OnePlus announced their new StyleSwap cover last night, the first one is in Bamboo and looks pretty darn nice. Now OnePlus is looking to capitalize on that by doing another contest to win an invite to buy their phone. This one is the “Blizzard of Invites”. OnePlus will have this contest going on for 24 hours only, and they will inform the winners within 72 hours of that. Which is a pretty quick giveaway, almost lightening fast. While it’s great to see more and more invites going out, one can’t help but wonder why they don’t just keep working to have a bunch of OnePlus One’s available and do a pre-order system or just let everyone buy them. I know many people are getting fustrated with the Invite system. While I know it’s a big deal in China, over here in North America, it’ll cost them a lot of customers and I’m sure it already has.
The OnePlus One is an amazing value, giving you a 5.5-inch 1080p display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB of RAM, 64GB of Storage, 13MP camera on the back, 2.1MP on the front, and a 3100mAh battery with CyanogenMod 11S on board for just $349. It even undercuts the Nexus 5. I loved the OnePlus One, it was just a bit too big for me, which is why I got rid of it and went to the G3. So if you’re fine with tat size, then the OnePlus One is an amazing device for you, especially at that price.
