If you’re using the HTC One M8 and you’ve been a fan of the Dot View Case that they came out with similar to Samsung’s Flipview Covers, the paired app that works with the case just got a brand new update that adds in some pretty cool stuff. Themes! yes, the DotView case now has the ability to display themes which is a little bit weird but at the same time equal parts cool. The really cool graphic of the Dot View case is almost like a light bright so we imagine that you might actually be able to create some pretty cool themes with this style as it is also kind of nintendo-esque.
The best part about this feature of the new update is that you have the ability to get themes from two places. HTC has 18 themes already made up for you which are part of the app itself. You can also make your own theme by using images from your gallery, so needless to say that opens up a whole lot of possibilities. Who will be the first to make either a Super Mario or Zelda theme for their Dot View? Dot View themed wallpapers are pretty cool but only if they look as cool as they sound. You can use any image you like for the theme but not all images will turn out with a desirable look.
Themes are easily the biggest part of this update for the app but they aren’t the only thing. Dot View users now also have the ability to swipe left and right for more notifications which seems like something people have been asking for. The app also now lets you redial a number from the three most recent calls feature of the Dot View case, so no more having to open the flap just to complete that function like before. We’re still waiting for the first Dot View game to pop up but this is a great little addition to what was already a really cool accessory from HTC. Is anyone out there using the Dot View case and loving it?
