Xiaomi To Announce A Product Aimed At Women On March 31st

Xiaomi is going to turn 5 years old on March 31st. The company has already teased all sorts of announcements yesterday, and has indirectly confirmed that the Mi Pad 2 tablet will make an appearance at the event. We were wondering what else this China-based company might announce at that event, and they’ve just released yet another teaser to tickle our imagination. We’ve seen all sorts of odd teasers coming from China, and this one definitely belongs in that category.

If you take a look at the provided image, you’ll notice a dress on it, and the background of the image is pink. The “NSSJ” title is also present above the dress, along with the date listed down below. No matter which way you look at this, it is safe to assume that Xiaomi is preparing to launch a product targeted at women, which is interesting. Xiaomi’s CEO, Lin Bin, said in a blog post that the company is trying to become more fashionable, so it kind of adds up. A president of a well-known Chinese fashion group responded to Lin Bin’s Weibo post, saying the following: “this was the first such collaboration between the two companies,” which is a dead giveaway as well.

This teaser is really interesting. We’ve been trying to figure out what the “NSSJ” stands for, but were unsuccessful thus far. If you have an idea, please do share it in the comments. Will Xiaomi announce a smart clothing piece? Or will it be a wearable for women? Who knows, there are lots of possibilities here. The company will almost certainly launch several products at the event, the aforementioned Mi Pad 2 tablet is also a possibility, and who knows what else is Xiaomi preparing for us. The Redmi Note 2 handset is also expected to be launched in the coming weeks, same goes for the 2GB version of the Mi 4, though we have no idea if Xiaomi will showcase those at the event or not. The Mi Watch has also been talked about recently, same goes for the company’s recently leaked “Ferrari handset“, but it’s hard to imagine Xiaomi launching all that at the event, of course.
