There are good things to come in a future version of the Google Play app. The discoveries were made by Android Police after poking around the latest version of the Play Store. With the framework in place, the features should be coming soon with finishing touches in place.
Hit the break to find out what Google has in the works.
Today, gifting an application or any item in the store would be completed by handing over a Google Play gift card. So it is actually gifting a gift card and letting the recipient have their way with it. Soon, it looks like Google will bring in Play Store vouchers so that people can directly gift an item to someone. This benefits not only consumer-to-consumer purposes, but also developer/publisher/studio-to-consumer. Content producers can hand over apps at no cost to beta testers and press members. Simply put: anyone can give a Play Store item to someone else with ease. Google is apparently using the word “reward” as its way to explain gifting.
On the enterprise side of things, Google is ready to let employers make purchases and push applications to employee devices. The string found in the Play Store reads “Your admin has purchased licenses for this app.” It is similar to the Play Store voucher approach, but this time for enterprise users.
