Sony is the first company to announce it is holding an event at CES 2015. There, it is expected that new devices will be introduced to the Xperia line. To be exact, new phones and a tablet are going to be unveiled. Sony could be opting with CES 2015 for announcements as it allows the company to get ahead of everyone else doing so at Mobile World Congress in February. You will not have to wait until January, though, to find out what Sony has up its sleeve. Why? Because someone decided to spill the beans on the Xperia Z4, Z4 Compact, Z4 Ultra, and Z4 Tablet.

In the middle of October, we learned a bit about the Xperia Z4. It will act as Sony’s flagship device for the year and carry high-end specifications to prove it. The 5.5-inch display will have 2560×1440 resolution, much like today’s high-end phones. Powering this beast is said to be the Snapdragon 810 processor clocked at 2.8GHz with 4GB of RAM. The internal storage is set at 32GB. Of course, a Sony-made camera sensor will be present. Rather than relying solely upon a charging port, the Xperia Z4 will have wireless charging by the Qi standard. The Xperia Z4 does not have anymore flaps for ports; however, the IP68 certification remains.
The Xperia Z4 Tablet will succeed the Xperia Z2 Tablet and Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact. Sony returns to the 10.1-inch display with 2560×1440 resolution. The company is testing 3840×2160 resolution, but it has not gone beyond that (for now). The bezels are slim and the design stays true to the Xperia line. The specifications are very similar to that of the Xperia Z4 — same processor and internal storage. The camera on the rear is 13MP and the front will have an 8MP camera. Twin stereo speakers make the jump from the Z3 Tablet Compact to the Xperia Z4 Tablet.
What do we have left? The smaller and larger options. The Xperia Z4 Compact’s display does not change from this year’s 4.6-inch size. What does change is the resolution — 1920×1080. The specifications on the inside are boosted and we assume that means it will mirror that of the Xperia Z4. The same thing goes for the Xperia Z4 Ultra, but the 6.4-inch display’s resolution will be 2560×1440 or the illustrious 3840×2160.
