The pace at which T-Mobile has been moving is incredible. Constantly, the carrier is hitting milestones way ahead of schedule. The latest milestone is the reach of its 4G LTE network. T-Mobile says that it reaches 250 million people in the United States. This is “months ahead of schedule.” And by June of next year, T-Mobile plans to cover 280 million people with 300 million targeted for the end of 2015.
The next step for T-Mobile, though, does not just include increasing the reach of its 4G LTE network. It is continue to work on Voice Over LTE (VoLTE), WiFi Calling, and Wideband LTE. In a company blog post, chief technology officer Neville Ray said this is all part of T-Mobile’s “complete committment to advancing our Data Strong network.”
