LG G3 Dual-LTE set to launch in Russia within the next couple of weeks

LG G3 Dual LTE

LG has today announced its plans to launch a dual-SIM variant of its flagship smartphone, the G3, in Russia. The handset will be available in both Metallic Black and Silky White colorways and is set to go on sale within the next couple of weeks for RUB 26,990 — approximately $630.

This is the exact same “Dual-LTE” model of the G3 that LG launched in China and Hong Kong back in September. The device packs a 5.5-inch True HD display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels, a Snapdragon 801 chipset with a quad-core 2.5GHz CPU, 3GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and 32GB of internal storage (expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card).

For those of you out there who may be thinking that the phone features two LTE SIM slots. Unfortunately, that’s not the case. Only the first SIM slot supports 4G LTE, whilst the second is restricted to standard GSM connectivity.

Out of the box, the G3 Dual-LTE will run the latest build of Android 4.4.4 KitKat with the South Korean company’s Optimus user interface plastered over the top. The device is, however, expected to be one of the first on the market to receive the much-anticipated Lollipop update when it’s distributed later this year.
