With the help of industry experts, Google has launched a new app that is currently available on iOS called Primer. The newly launched app aims to help new startups learn the fundamentals of marketing. In addition, Google launched Primer as a way to make it easier for Businesses to succeed online. First time marketers may find it very difficult trying to market their company, but with Primer, Google plans to change that. Primer is experimental and has been designed to be simple, and easy to use when it comes to looking for marketing advice. According to Google, “We realized that some of the Google ad-tech products which connect businesses to customers also widen the gap between rookies and marketing pros… we want to fix this.”

Google’s Primer app will bridge the gap between the rookies and marketing pro’s. Instead of trying to simply the “ad-tech,” Primer will instead get these green horns the up to speed by giving them marketing lessons, case studies, and even quizzes. These lessons will teach the “big picture strategy” which will indeed be useful for a small company trying to succeed in a huge market. Some of the topics that will be available in Primer are Search Engine Marketing, Getting Media Coverage, and Content Marketing. The lessons are designed for people to learn the basics quickly and will only take up 5 minutes of your time. A cool feature that Primer has is the offline capabilities. Users that are taking the busy New York Subways or are flying with United Airlines can use Primer and read through the content provided.

According to the Search Giant, Primer is currently in its pilot phase. Search Engine Marketing, Media Coverage, and Content Marketing will be the only available topics at launch. More topics will be added soon so you’ll have to wait if theres a specific lesson you’re looking for. Primer’s marketing lessons aren’t just the only thing you can learn while using the app, users can subscribe to receive e-mail activities that will help them put their newly found knowledge to the test. From the looks of everything, Primer looks to really help a lot of new startups in the marketing area. Marketing is a critical form of gaining customers to use or promote your product. If you’re interested in learning marketing techniques and have an iPhone, you can download the app right here. For the rest of us Android user’s, we’ll have to wait just a bit longer for Primer to come to the Play Store.
