Top Android Homescreen September 26th Edition: Glass

Glass

We’re back with another homescreen for you this week. If you’re bored of the customized homescreen you have at this point in time give this one a look and see if it’s to your liking. It has a fairly minimal approach to the design, but adds more than just a couple things so you still have a functional homescreen with everything you might want or need. Our homescreen pick for this week is called Glass, created by Corrado27. We’ll go over what you need to recreate this look if you like it, and that’ll include the download of a few apps if you don’t already have them, then we’ll gloss over the steps to get this homescreen set up on your device.

First things first, the installs. You’ll want to pick up a third party home launcher, either Apex Pro or Nova Prime. Secondly and this one is generally always going to be one of the apps you need for these setups, is Zooper Pro for the widget installation. That’s it this time around as far as the apps you need, but you’ll also need to grab the download files, which you can find by heading to the source link where corrado27 has a link setup to grab them from a Dropbox download. The download will include the Zooper Widget files and should also include the wallpaper, but of course you can always use whatever wallpaper you wish. To get things started after you have the two apps installed and the files downloaded and placed on your phone, go into your Apex Pro or Nova Prime settings, and set your homescreen grid to 10 x 7. Next make sure to hide the status bar, hide the dock, and make sure that your margins are set to “none.” This setup is all one widget to keep things simple. If you like this homescreen look, remember to “zoom” the picture on the mycolorscreen page for this homescreen, and be sure to hit the Love button to show appreciation of Corrado27’s work. That’s it for this week, and if this one didn’t catch your eye you can check out any of our other picks to see if yo can find something that appeals to you. Happy customizing and have a great weekend!
