Verizon recently launched a phone by called the HTC Remix that is essentially the HTC One Mini 2, now it looks like more carriers will be getting the device. More specifically, AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile are the supposed US carriers to soon offer the HTC One Mini 2. Not much more was revealed in this leak, such as pricing and availability, but we can make an educated guess based on Verizon’s current offering of the HTC Remix. Based on this, the HTC One Mini 2 on other US carriers should not cost more than around $450 at a retail cost.
Diving a little deeper into pricing, we can make an assumption on the on-contract pricing for the HTC One Mini 2 on US carriers. We can do this again, based on Verizon’s HTC Remix pricing. Upon release the HTC Remix cost $450 at full price, but on contract the device cost on $50. Fast forward to today and you can pick up an HTC Remix on-contract at Verizon for free. So if we take that information we can make the educated guess that the HTC One Mini 2 will probably cost $50 to $100 on contract for AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint.
The leak that tell us that the HTC One Mini 2 will be coming to AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint comes from the popular leaking Twitter account, @upleaks. Last night the account tweeted, “HTC One Mini 2 going to AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint”. @upleaks is the Twitter account that has pretty much replaced the notorious @evleaks after his recent retirement. Both popular leaking Twitter accounts have been fairly accurate in their leaks so you can take this leak regarding the HTC One Mini 2 somewhat seriously if you so desire. That being said, when it comes down to it, this is still a leak. Because of this being a leak it should be taken with a grain of salt, regardless of the leakers track record.
