Most of this week, we’ve been seeing teasers from Huawei. But now we’ve got one from Samsung, which is going to catch more attention. Simply because it’s Samsung and it’s time for the Galaxy Note 4 to launch. Well we already know that Samsung will introduce the world to the Galaxy Note 4 on September 4th from Berlin. The Unpacked event starts at 3pm local time, which is 9am ET, and 6am PT for those of you in the States. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will likely be a beast, as the Galaxy Note, Note 2 and Note 3 ahead of it were. But what else will we see this year on the Galaxy Note 4? Likely some new features in Touchwiz, because that’s what Samsung does every year. However, this new teaser shows us we may see some handwriting features come to the Galaxy Note 4.
Samsung’s new teaser is showing off handwriting, because I guess some people want to be able to handwrite stuff on their Galaxy Note 4. Now some of this was already available on the Galaxy Note 3. For instance, you can use the S Pen to write in a text input area, and it’ll decipher what you’ve written. It wasn’t correct 100% of the time – depending on your hand writing – but it was pretty cool. So it looks like Samsung is going to be expanding this a bit further with the Galaxy Note 4 this year. Maybe they are getting rid of the keyboard altogether and making you handwrite everywhere that you’d use Swype, Swiftkey, etc.? Who knows.
So September 3rd is only about a week and a half away. What do you think Samsung is going to put into the Galaxy Note 4 this year? We didn’t see much in terms of new features in the Galaxy S5 – when compared to the Galaxy S4 and S3 in prior years. So maybe it’s more about hardware? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
