News is an important part of our daily lives. Most of us read the new paper, watch CNN, surf the internet, or mainly use our smartphones to obtain our daily news. More specifically, our smartphones are a quick source of getting the news that we want right away. We are even given apps geared toward informing us in a timely manner. The one only problem we have with these apps is that some aren’t convenient enough for us to access and read what we are looking for. Sure there are several news apps out there that have simplified their platform and made accessing information easy, but a lot of them do not use Google News or even give users the functionality to customize.
Announced on XDA Developers, senior Member luciferabby created an app that outperforms your regular news app. The app is called Feed.Me and it brings you news efficiently to your home screen in widget form. In a world where we thirst to stay connected and up to date on everything, Feed.Me quenches that thirst for information. The way the app works is by collecting your Google Search topics and accumulates news related to those topics. The idea is kind of similar to Google Now and how it will fetch articles that are related to your search results. For people who do not have the Google Now Launcher and cannot swipe right to quickly see whats going on, Feed.me jumps in and does the job just as perfect and minimal.
The design of Feed.Me is simple and clean. To use it, all you have to do is go to your widgets drawer and drag it to your screen and the rest of the work is done by the app. If you want, you can customize the news you get by manually inputting topics that you would like to see instead of the app fetching search topics. So if you are interested in getting an app that will give you news geared toward your interest, than you should try Feed.me. Follow this link to get the app and share your experiences with us in the comments section.
