Limefuel was kind enough to send over their 15,000mAh battery pack, the LP150X. We’ve been using it for a few days now. And with battery packs, we don’t really need a ton of time with it, because it does one thing, charges devices. And with as many smartphones and tablets as I have laying around right now, there’s also something to be charged. The LP150X is available from Amazon for $39.99 right now, which I think is a great price for what it is.
On the LP150X we’ve got two USB ports – one is a 1a and the other is a 2.1a – along with a microUSB, flashlight, power button and a LED display. Now I’ll say right now that my favorite part of the LP150X is the LED display. Most battery packs only have a few LED lights indicating how much juice is left, but with the LED display, we can see how much juice is left by percentage. For instance, right now I have about 80% left, and I charged my Sony RX100 camera, as well as the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active (from 10% to full). Which means that it’s got plenty of juice to recharge your phone a few times and then some.
As far as portability goes, it’s about as big as the LG G3, but much thicker obviously. It’s also a bit heavy, however, you do expect that from a 15,000mAh battery pack. But you can easily throw it in your purse, or your backpack and not have to worry about it until your phone needs some more juice. I’ve reviewed plenty of battery packs over the past few months and even the past year, and the Limefuel LP150X is one of my favorites, it’s also the highest capacity I’ve had my hands on. NewTrent and TYLT’s were good, but not 15,000mAh good.
You can pick up the Limefuel LP150X from Amazon right now for $39.99, and it’s definitely something you won’t regret picking up.
