Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge might be suffering from touchscreen issues

Samsung_Galaxy_S6_Touch_Input_Display_Issues

Things have been going so well for Samsung these past few days, that you just knew some bad news had to crash the party at some point. According to Asia Today, the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge are having issues with touch inputs.

More specifically, they noticed this issue near the bezels where they found that the phones didn’t register any inputs, including handwriting and scribbling. They provided images and video to back it up. It seems to be more of an issue with the S6, but the Edge is still affected.

Now let’s not forget that both of these phones will not be released until April 10. We also know that any units in existence are not final. There is no reason to believe that this issue will appear in the final product, but it is something that we should keep an eye on. Samsung does not need any problems heading into this launch, and I for one, hope they rectify it before April 10.

Here’s a short video showing you the issue…..

Google’s new wireless plan might only be compatible with the Nexus 6

Google_logo_474844

Well here’s a Debbie Downer for today. Google’s new wireless MVNO plan could be announced in a few weeks, but according to the Wall Street Journal, only the Nexus 6 will be able to use it.

This does seem crazy at first, but if you think about it, it doesn’t seem all that surprising when you consider how Google’s new service will work. It’s rumored to work with both Sprint and T-Mobile as in automatically switching to the best available network along with Wi-Fi. It appears that Google and Motorola were planning on this when building the phone. Motorola already has similar experience with Republic Wireless’ feature of auto-switching between Wi-Fi and Sprint’s network when Wi-Fi isn’t available.

Google is also notorious for launching products and services on a very small scale, so this wouldn’t be a shocker to me.

WSJ did say the service is supposed to get announced in a few weeks, but it could get delayed. Reading between the lines means that we should see an announcement at Google I/O. And if this rumor of it only being available on the Nexus 6 is true, you can expect Google I/O attendees to receive a Nexus 6 as one of their gifts.

Samsung switches to LPDDR4 and UFS 2.0 memory, but what does it mean?

Here Are Some Galaxy S6 Apps And Wallpapers For You To Download

Galaxy S6 TouchWiz AH 04

The Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona is now over. Many manufacturers showed off their devices during the show, some new, some not, but in any case, we’ve seen a ton of great tech. Samsung’s Unpacked event was one of the main highlights of the whole show. This Korean tech giant announced their new flagships, the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. The two devices are more or less the same as far as specifications go, though they’re quite different on the outside thanks to the curved display of the Galaxy S6 Edge. Both of these devices are made out of metal, and both of them sports a glass panel on the back.

Let’s talk about the software, shall we. Samsung has slightly redesigned their TouchWiz offering which they pre-installed on the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, but they didn’t exactly de-bloat it as some reports were saying. You’ll find a ton of Samsung apps on both of these phones, along with some Microsoft offerings. I’m sure that some of you would like to get your hands on some of these apps as soon as possible, well, you can do that now. A bunch of apps from the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge handsets have been leaked on XDA Developers forum.

These apps are currently available for download (though the list might get update in the meantime): S Translator, S Note, SystemUI (Statusbar and Recents), Lockscreen and Home Wallpapers, Optical Reader, GeoNews, GearManager, Gear Fit, Smart Remote, Smart Switch and Kids Mode. In case you’d like to download some (or all) of these, visit the source link down below and choose what interests you. What you should keep in mind though, is the fact that you’ll need to have an Android 5.0 Lollipop TouchWiz build running on your device in order to run each of these apps (like a previously released Galaxy handset running Android Lollipop for example). Anyhow, let us know if you decided to download and try out some of these apps, we’d love to hear what you think.
