Video: HTC 10 Unveiling Clip Hits the Web Early

HTC intends to officially unveil the HTC 10 tomorrow morning, but the Internet has unofficially beaten them to the punch. In a leaked unveiling video posted to YouTube, we get to see the HTC 10 from all angles, including the endless amounts of chamfer that surrounds the entire phone’s backside. To sum it up, this is likely the clip that will be played during tomorrow’s online unveiling for the phone.

What we see in the video is a rectangular box shaved into the shape of a smartphone. Then, thanks to laser effects, we see the chamfered backside get cut, followed by the HTC logo getting etched in. We get a complete hardware wraparound tour, complete with a look at the bottom-facing BoomSound speaker and USB Type-C port, reported 5.1″ QHD display, volume rocker, textured power button, rear-facing UltraPixel camera, and the fingerprint reader slash home button on the bottom chin of the phone. Overall, the phone looks rather handsome.

Thanks to previous leaks, we know the specs should be right on par with the Galaxy S7, minus IP68 water and dust resistance. We can expect the Snapdragon 820, 4GB of RAM, super high-res display, and a great camera experience. The only downside, at least from my perspective, is that HTC decided to swap dual front-facing speakers for a fingerprint reader and capacitive buttons. Not the best decision in my book, but we shall see what the masses think when the company announces the phone tomorrow.

Tomorrow, April 12, is the big day. Raise your hand if you are excited.
