When you come back from a trip, many times, you will upload a few photos to social media, but the rest get lost on your device, never to see the light of day. Thanks to an incoming update for Google Photos, Google’s photo service will intelligently suggest a new album for you, and will automatically place your best photos from your trip into an album.
Once the photos are collected, users can place text captions to better describe what’s taking place in a photo, and Google will also add a map so you can see just how far you traveled. Essentially, this feature is much like the Stories you see on Google Photos, but instead of a story, it’s a photo album.
User can also enable a collaboration mode, which allows other users to upload their own photos to your album, making a big, shareable album for all to see via mobile or desktop.
The update is rolling out today.
