NVIDIA SHIELD Portable, the all-in-one portable gaming system, received its update to Android 5.1 today. According to NVIDIA, the update is “optional,” but I’m not sure why you wouldn’t want this.
After the update, users will see the “latest” version of Android, a Play Books bug, and the removal of Sonic 4: Episode II, Expendable: Rearmed, and the OG Android Browser. That’s not all, though. NVIDIA is adding in Chromecast support, killing off Miracast, and updating Twitch to the latest version.
The update should be live now, so jump into Settings>About device to grab it.
