Oppo has launched a couple of handsets in the last couple of months. This China-based smartphone manufacturer has launched their new Oppo N3 flagship in China back in October alongside the incredibly thin R5 mid-ranger. Last month they launched the Oppo R1C and Mirror 3 devices, and earlier today we reported that the Oppo 3000 has been launched in China. Well, it’s India’s time I guess, the company has unveiled the Mirror 3 smartphone in India. Keep in mind that the Oppo 3000 and Mirror 3 are actually the same, but are named differently from market to market. That being said, let’s check out this handset.
The Oppo Mirror 3 sports a 4.7-inch 720p (1280 x 720) IPS display, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card up to 128GB). This thing is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 410 SoC, a quad-core 64-bit processor clocked at 1.2GHz which comes with an Adreno 306 GPU for graphics. Android 4.4 KitKat comes pre-installed on this device with Oppo’s ColorOS UI on top of it. This is a dual-SIM device and it offers 3G connectivity, while Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS are also a part of the package. 8-megapixel snapper is located on the back and flanked by an LED flash, while a 5-megapixel camera is available up front. This handset is 8.95mm thick and it weighs 126 grams. 2,000mAh battery is also a part of this package.
Oppo Mirror 3’s camera has some features up its sleeve. This camera has PI 2.0+ technology which offers some shooting modes like depth of field, double exposure, selfie mode, beauty mode, etc. “The smartphone technology is constantly evolving. We are excited to introduce Mirror 3 to our picture-loving Indian customers. It comes with phenomenal camera quality. No matter day or night, the image quality taken from a Mirror 3 smartphone is greatly enhanced as a result of increased CMOS sensitivity, higher resolution, and effective filtering for infrared light. This packed with a host of other features gives the consumer a power packed selfie experience,” said Tom Lu, CEO of Oppo Mobiles India.
This handset comes in White and Grey color options and is priced at Rs. 16,990 ($272) in India. This is a solid device, but I doubt many people will rush to purchase it due to its price point. Anyhow, let us know what you think of this device in the comments.
