It has been about a week since we learned that Verizon would be bringing you the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Developer Edition, and it has now arrived.
Despite early reports, Samsung and Verizon are not offering the device at a discount, pull out your wallet and count to $699.99 to get your hands on this unlocked bootloader of a monster.
Verizon’s approach to the Galaxy Note 4 Developer Edition is simple. They take the exact same Galaxy Note 4 that is locked down, with the same software (and bloatware) and simply allow the bootloader to unlock via fastboot command. You are free to root and ROM to your hearts content from there.
If you needed a reminder, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is the Korean giant’s latest flagship device. Leading off with that 5.7-inch 2560 x 1440 resolution Super AMOLED display, this Snapdragon 805 powered device, with 3GB of RAM, is about as good as you can get these days. A 16MP OIS camera is a great addition as well, especially backed by that microSD slot that is lacking on a growing number of devices these days.
Be sure to check out our full Note 4 review if you’d like more details, or if you don’t, that is a good looking phone and worth checking out even if you are not in the market to buy.
If you’ve been holding off for this unlocked version, head over to the Samsung website to grab your Verizon Galaxy Note 4 Developer Edition now.
Now that it is here, will you pull the trigger on the Note 4 Developer Edition, or is perhaps the Nexus 6 more to your liking?
